Our Ministry Team

Our ministry team is made up of our parish priest, Rev’d Bronwyn Suptut, local deacon Rev'd Helen Dean, and lay members responsible for various ministry areas.

Bronwyn has been the Rector here for over four years.

She is married with two teen aged children and has a teaching background.

Bronwyn lives and ministers from within a contemplative, Benedictine spirituality but is enriched by the spiritual traditions of others and encourages the expression of a variety of traditions within the faith community. She is passionate about vocational mentoring and the nurturing of community life.

She enjoys walking, reading, history and art and has a desire to spend some time living in a faith community in a third world country. Bronwyn’s great desire is to see lives transformed by the love of Christ.

Rev'd Helen Dean is our local deacon. She is married and has an adult daughter.

Helen was a primary school teacher and teacher-librarian before retiring from teaching in order to take up full time study and ministry. She is particularly interested in the breadth, depth and diversity of parish life, contemplative prayer, and the interface between the church and the community.

Helen also enjoys reading, walking, catching up with friends, and textile crafts such as sewing, knitting and crochet.

Parish Council is responsible for the administration of the parish community and for enabling ministry and mission.

We have a Pastoral Care team which ensures that all members of the parish community are encouraged and cared for as well those in our local community with whom we engage in various ways.

Other ministries include Barney’s Open House specifically focussed on the aged, Barney’s Boutique, our second hand clothing and goods shop which is also a place of welcome and friendship for those in the local area, and our Sunday morning Children’s Ministry team which runs a program of learning and fellowship for children during the 9.00am worship at Charnwood.

Others co-ordinate men’s and women’s gatherings, retreat days and study groups.

We also have a vibrant prayer ministry operating within the parish.
