The Parish of St Barnabas, Charnwood has two facilities available for hire.
These are the St Barnabas Ministry Centre, Charnwood Place, Charnwood

and the Church of St Michael and All Angels, corner of Victoria and Loftus Streets, Hall.

As part of the church’s life and witness in the community, parish policy is to encourage

the use of both facilities by church, social, cultural and non-profit groups.

The facilities are also available for commercial or private hire.

St Barnabas Ministry Centre

The Anglican Church of St Barnabas, 10 Charnwood Place, Charnwood is situated at the eastern end of the Charnwood shopping complex adjacent to the Scout and Guide halls. (see map)

St Barnabas Ministry Centre offers one main function room which can accommodate up to 200 people. A kitchen is available for the serving of meals and light refreshments. Some car parking is available on site and car parking is also available in the adjacent shops car park.

Details of the room for public use are as follows:

Main Hall
Heated, carpeted floor. Seating for 150 for church services, concerts, seminars, etc. Larger groups of over 150 and up to 200 will need to provide PA system.

Kitchen
Please note, this is not a commercial kitchen facility, but contains instant boiling water, domestic-sized refrigerator, oven, microwave and dishwasher.

Kitchen Equipment
Crockery and cutlery for 100 people. Some glassware. Some food preparation and serving equipment and utensils are available. Mobile serving trolley. Large gas barbecue.

St Michael and All Angels Church

The Anglican Church of St Michael and All Angels is located on the corner of Victoria and Loftus Streets Hall Village, ACT.

The church seats up to 60 people and is fitted with pews arranged in a traditional church setting.

As well as church services, St Michael’s is currently used for special services such as baptisms, weddings and funerals where attendance is expected to be below 60 persons.

The church (and church grounds in fine weather) has also been used successfully for concerts, small seminars, planning and training days, and quiet days.

Parking is available adjacent to the church, and tea and coffee-making facilities can be provided using an urn at the back of the church.
